BigChurch.com is one of the largest Christian and Catholic singles personals site on the web, which claims to have almost 500,000 active members, approximately half of which reside in the US. There are also large numbers in Canada, Australia, India, Mexico and South America.

When searching through profiles, members of BigChurch.com can nominate whether they’re seeking:

Members can also nominate the level of their Christian beliefs, ranging from ‘I don’t believe in God right now’ to ‘He is my life, my reason for being’. Then there are two ways to search the database: by username or by preferences. You might not even know who you are looking for, but already have a number of characteristics you would like to see in that person. Then you need to go straight to the Search section and point out the features you want to see in your partner-to-be. You can search by almost any category of information that the database keep track of, including sex, location, languages spoken, etc.

BigChurch.com is available in English as well as Portuguese, Spanish and Tagalog. Members communicate with one another via email. The site also has chat rooms for members; the English rooms include the Rec Room, Congregation, Friendship Room and Retreat. Each of the other languages has their own room. The rooms are always open and you can see how many members (and who) are in each room at any time.

Silver and gold memberships are also available, which include extra features such as topping member lists (gold membership only), viewing member videos, saving search settings and telephoning technical support.
